Inaugural Multimodal Americas Show to Feature Debates on Fifth Industrial Revolution and the Power of Blockchain

Our inaugural Multimodal Americas show, which is co-located with TIACA’s Air Cargo Forum from 16 to 18 October 2018, will have a strong focus on the technologies which are changing the way logistics companies do business.

The fifth industrial revolution, in which humans and machines are increasingly collaborating in manufacturing, and the growing power of blockchain on the logistics field, are just two of the topics being covered in our seminar and panel series at our free-to-attend event in Toronto this autumn.

The show, which is now officially opened for registration at, also features panel discussions exploring the development of unmanned freight aircraft, as well as the rise of robotics and artificial intelligence in the warehouse, when it takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

This three-day event builds on the legacy of its UK counterpart show, which has grown to become the UK and Ireland’s leading logistics and supply chain show in its 11-year history.

Every year since the UK show’s founding, we have experienced phenomenal growth, growing to nearly 10,000 visitors and over 300 exhibitors from across the entire supply chain at our latest event, which took place earlier this year.

Our expansion into the Americas means that we are able to bring together stakeholders from across the growing North American supply chain market together for opportunities to network, enhance their business, and learn from the experts.

Never has this been more important, with the changes we face as an industry, and we are pleased to embark on this opportunity to act as a platform bringing together key supply chain specialists and other stakeholders, under one roof.

Likewise, the North American market is unique to our industry in many ways, as the region is a leader in e-commerce and also in the new technologies that are changing our industry, and we are delighted that our show is able to expand there.

Our show has teamed up with The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA)’s 2018 Air Cargo Forum and the Canadian International Freight Forwarding Association (CIFFA)’s 70th anniversary conference and exhibition, bringing together key stakeholders from across the entire global transport and logistics industry.

It will also be co-located with the End-to-End Network Supply Chain 2018, which will be celebrating its 15th anniversary and the relocation to Canada. The show will feature experts and disruptive innovators for two days of interactive sessions and exclusive content to establish first-class supply chain practices that maximise your supply chain revenue, enhance customer experience, and increase profits.

Multimodal Americas is also being backed by the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA), the Freight Management Association of Canada (FMA), the Global Shippers’ Forum (GSF), and the Canadian Association of Importers & Exporters (I.E.Canada), which together represents hundreds of leading supply chain companies in Canada.

Other debates taking place during Multimodal Americas include the rapid growth of the rail freight market in North America, digital transformation in the supply chain, and the development of inland ports in the USA and Canada.

The discussions will be led by logistics leaders and top business experts including Canada’s Dragon’s Den host Nicole Verkindt, Founder of OMX, and Robert Bigler, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Product at eBay Canada, who are taking part in the plenary opening panel for Multimodal Americas, TIACA’s ACF, and CIFFA’s 70th anniversary conference.

Other keynote speakers include Yuree Hong, Founder of SHE Blockchainers, Asia; Dheeraj Kohli, Vice President & Global Head, Unisys; and Keith Reardon, Vice President, Intermodal, CN Rail.

More than 300 exhibitors are expected to attend our show, with companies including Air Canada Cargo, Agility, DP World, DSV, Rubb Buildings, and Canadian National Railway already signed up.
