Investing in Climate Action
Support for the industry in moving toward a sustainable air cargo remains a priority for the association. In response, we have launched the first neutral platform to allow the industry to invest in Climate Action.
The platform facilitates individuals and companies to participate in a number of Gold standard certified projects around the world which contribute to achieving a reduction of CO2 levels, each investment receives carbon certified credits. The Board has selected a number of projects across key areas of sustainability;
About
The platform is open access and available to all industry stakeholders to view the various projects and the verification certification. Investment levels are determined by the user, starting in very low increments.
Each project has undergone vigorous assessment and is subject to ongoing monitoring in accordance with the Paris Agreement, Article 6, Science Based Targets Initiative.
Investments are equated to a carbon reduction level which is then certified to the purchaser. The carbon credits are then retired through a transparent global reporting mechanism.
An annual TIACA access fee of $200 will be be assessed for use. This access fee will be waived for members.
