CEO of Continental Europe, Middle East and Africa, Swissport Ltd. 

Dirk Goovaerts was named Swissport International AG’s CEO of Continental Europe, Middle East, and Africa on 9 September, 2022, and reports directly to the CEO. In addition, he serves as Global Cargo Chair, focusing on strengthening Swissport’s global cargo business.
Dirk Goovaerts joined Swissport as Head of Middle East & Africa on September 1st, 2021. With over 25 years of experience in the ground handling and cargo industries, he is a result-oriented senior executive with a proven track record in operational excellence, digital acceleration, andturnaround management.

Dirk comes to Swissport from dnata, where he was CEO of the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, he was the COO of Saudi Ground Services Company, Senior Vice President Europe at Menzies Aviation, and Finance Director Global Network of Outstations at Sabena.
