LOT Polish Airlines to Host the TIACA Global Executive Summit 2026 in Warsaw

May 9, 2026

  • Warsaw will take centre stage in the global air cargo industry as LOT Polish Airlines and Port Polska host the TIACA Global Executive Summit 2026.
  • Scheduled for 1–3 June 2026, this prestigious event will bring together key industry stakeholders.
  • The choice of Poland as the event venue reflects CEE’s growing significance and LOT Cargo’s dynamic expansion.
LOT Polish Airlines is set to co-host one of the global air cargo industry’s most important events: the TIACA Global Executive Summit 2026. The annual gathering is organised by The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA), a global organisation bringing together market players across the air cargo value chain, including airlines and their sales representatives, technology providers, airports and industry representatives.
The 2026 edition will be held in Warsaw from 1 to 3 June, marking Poland’s first time hosting the event. It will bring together more than 350 senior executives from around the world to discuss trends shaping global supply chains, including the transport of high-tech goods, pharmaceuticals and e-commerce shipments.
The conference programme will include two days of debates on the sector’s key challenges, including the growing role of e-commerce and new trade routes, digitalisation, sustainability and supply chain resilience. The business agenda will also feature networking events at venues across Warsaw.
As co-host, LOT Polish Airlines will help create a platform for dialogue and collaboration across the global cargo market.

Hosting the TIACA Global Executive Summit in Warsaw confirms the growing position of LOT Cargo and the entire Central and Eastern European region on the global air cargo map. We are seeing increasing interest in this market and are consistently developing our operational capabilities. Today, around 40% of Poland’s air cargo is already handled directly, bypassing traditional Western European hubs. This shortens delivery times and increases efficiency.

CEE’s growing influence: Poland’s role on the global logistics map

The CEE region’s growing importance is being driven not only by expanding airline operations but also by major investments that could significantly reshape Europe’s logistics landscape in the coming years.
The Port Polska investment, one of Europe’s largest infrastructure projects, includes the development of Cargo City. In this context, LOT Cargo is expected to be one of the key operators within this emerging infrastructure.

As part of the Port Polska programme, we are building a modern aviation hub including Cargo City – an integrated logistics and industrial ecosystem that will enable Poland and the entire Central and Eastern European region to fully utilise the potential of the rapidly growing cargo market. We want to actively help shape the future of this industry – from digitalisation and new logistics models to strengthening the resilience of global supply chains.

LOT Cargo: driving LOT Polish Airlines’ cargo expertise

Air cargo, vital for high-value shipments, is an integral part of LOT Polish Airlines’ business. LOT Cargo primarily uses cargo space on passenger aircraft, known as belly cargo, and also develops road feeder services (RFS) to reach destinations without direct air links.
The airline operates in various market segments, from standard air cargo and express shipments to specialist transport, building a cohesive logistics system. At the same time, LOT continues to expand its network and operational capabilities, strengthening Poland’s role in global supply chains and gradually reducing dependence on Western European hubs.

These initiatives align with the rapid growth of the market in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe, where transport volumes exceed 1.2 million tons each year. LOT’s expanding presence and influence in the region have made Warsaw the venue for the TIACA Global Executive Summit, a leading industry event. This highlights the carrier’s strong reputation and commitment to regional development.
