Mammen Tharakan joined TIACA as the sixth person to lead the association, beginning in August 2026. 

Having lived and worked around the world, he brings two decades of leadership in various sectors including aviation and air cargo.

Mammen works with the Board, the Secretariat, the Members and various industry partners to deliver TIACA’s vision of a safe, profitable and united air cargo industry. A builder and connector at heart, he believes the future of the industry will be shaped by greater collaboration and embracing new innovations. His ambition for the sector is to make it impossible to ignore.

He is deeply committed to introducing opportunities in this industry to the next generation of leaders and cheering for the people that make it all happen. His LinkedIn profile has said the same two words for as long as he’s been online: People First.
