November 2, 2026
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals (Hactl) – Hong Kong’s largest independent cargo handler – has once again triumphed at the Supply Chain Asia Awards 2026 with two honours, including Air Cargo Terminal Operator of the Year and Supply Chain Innovator of the Year (Cyber Resilience).
In the Air Cargo Terminal Operator of the Year award, Hactl showcased its operational excellence and resilience, innovation, customer service and sustainability through initiatives including Hong Kong’s first private 5G-enabled air cargo terminal, the world’s first intelligent cargo thermal detection system, the adoption of HVO renewable diesel for ground support equipment, improved customer satisfaction ratings, and the successful development of the world’s first lab-validated 100% closed-loop post-consumer recycled (PCR) cargo film.
For Supply Chain Innovator of the Year (Cyber Resilience), Hactl showed how it is setting a new cybersecurity benchmark for the air cargo industry through the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification of COSAC-Plus, the first air cargo management system in Hong Kong to achieve the certification. It also highlighted its integrated security network featuring AI-enabled patrol robots, combined with a 24/7 Security Control Centre and behaviour-based safety reporting mechanisms.
Accepting the awards at the ceremony in Bangkok, Hactl Chief Executive, Frosti Lau, said: “Our people are the driving force behind everything we achieve. Receiving these awards as we celebrate Hactl’s 50th anniversary is a testament to our unwavering commitment to service excellence, innovation and sustainability. As we look ahead to the future, we remain committed to driving innovation, raising industry standard and creating lasting value for our customers, the industry and the wider community. I would also like to thank Supply Chain Asia and the judging panel for these prestigious recognitions.”
The Awards have been held since 2007 by Supply Chain Asia — a not-for-profit industry body that brings together professionals throughout the logistics and supply chain industry, to share knowledge, learn from one another and create opportunities for collaborations.
