Executive Summit 2023 a Soaring Success

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Miami, November 8, 2023

The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) announced that its Executive Summit was a soaring success, succeeding in its mission to bring the global air cargo industry together to discuss, debate and network. The event was held in Brussels, Belgium and was hosted by Brussels Airport Company.

The event held in the iconic Skyhall venue at Brussels Airport, brought together over 300 delegates from across the industry to discuss issues that affect the global air cargo community. Topics such as trade and business challenges, airports, regulatory challenges, creating new opportunities, drones, digital innovation, workforce developments, precious cargo, sustainability and the air cargo outlook were some of the topics discussed. Event delegates took part in two and half days of lively discussions, debate and informational sessions as well as networking opportunities throughout the event. Our host extended top rated Belgian hospitality by offering an airport tour, providing us with a unique historical venue, the SkyHall, as well as a night out on the town.

“It gives me great pride to see how successful the Executive Summit in Brussels was this year. The cooperation between our team and our host Brussels Airport Company led to a highly successful event where the industry came together to network, learn, discuss and debate issues affecting the industry. The energy throughout the event was extremely positive and fun. This underscores the importance the association’s events bring to the industry as we work together to unite us all on a global scale.” Steven Polmans, Chair, TIACA

The Executive Summit is a bi-annual conference that is designed to address specific issues that impact the industry on a global level that TIACA can then incorporate into our overall work on behalf of the industry. This year we extended further outreach to university students and next generation leaders to ensure they too have a say in the industry’s future.

The event also encompassed the 2023 Hall of Fame inductee ceremony as well as celebrating sustainability success through the annual TIACA Sustainability Awards program in which LATAM Cargo was announced as the corporate winner and Regent Craft was selected by the audience as the start-up / small business category winner.

“We were honoured to host the 2023 TIACA Executive Summit, and to be able to showcase our initiatives to the leading air cargo community. As an active member of TIACA, for example with the BlueSky program, we truly believe in and encourage international collaboration and exchange.” says Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport.

The next global event is the Air Cargo Forum that will be held in Miami, Florida November 12-15. The Air Cargo Forum is expected to draw thousands of visitors over 3 days for exhibition, conference, and networking. Reservations for the exhibition are currently being accepted. Anyone interested in exhibiting should reach out to the Secretariat.
