The Future Thinkers section of the TIACA website has been established to provide a spotlight that will illuminate a generation of researchers and creative minds that have chosen to undertake a research project in aviation, air cargo, sustainability, digitization or logistics as part of their graduate or post graduate studies
We encourage the industry to peruse their research and to reach out to the authors as a window into what tomorrow will bring.
If you are a recent graduate that has a thesis to share and would like to be listed in the Future Thinkers section then please let us know, we would be happy to include you secretariat@tiaca.org.
Program ambitions
- Highlight and amplify the voices of emerging researchers and creative thinkers shaping the future of aviation and air cargo.
- Provide a global platform for graduate and post-graduate research focused on aviation, air cargo, sustainability, digitization, and logistics.
- Encourage fresh thinking and innovative approaches to address the evolving challenges facing the air cargo industry.
- Bridge academia and industry by creating meaningful connections between researchers and industry stakeholders.
- Offer the industry early insight into ideas, technologies, and solutions that may define tomorrow’s operational and strategic landscape.
- Foster collaboration, dialogue, and engagement around research that supports long-term industry resilience and progress.

THE IMPLICATIONS OF ACHIEVING NET-ZERO EMISSIONS FOR AIRFREIGHT
This research explores the challenges and opportunities to achieving net-zero emissions within the airfreight industry. Despite minimal cargo tonnage being transported annually, airfreight is responsible for a disproportionate share of carbon emissions in the logistics sector due to its energy-intensive nature.
