Educated at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Stanley Hui began his career as a management trainee for Cathay Pacific Airways in 1975 rising to Manager, International Affairs. Mr Hui was appointed the Swire Group’s Chief Representative in Beijing. He then moved to all-cargo carrier Air Hong Kong as Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Stanley Hui Hon-Chung joined Dragonair as CEO in 1997. Mr Hui’s work has been closely associated with the development of air services between Hong Kong and the China Mainland.
He expanded the cargo operation of the airline soon after joining Dragonair. On the back of continued growth in China’s manufacturing sector, the airline’s freighter fleet and network continued to expand to about 40% of the airline’s business.
