LATAM and Delta Expand Their Joint Venture Agreement to Argentina Offering the Best Connection Network with the United States and Canada

April 23, 2025

Buenos Aires, April 23, 2025.- Two years after the initiation of their Joint Venture (JV), Delta and LATAM celebrated an agreement to include Argentina within the scope of the JV, allowing their customers access to a network of over 200 destinations between the United States, Canada, and Argentina. The agreement will enable the offering of enhanced air transportation services and strengthen benefits for customers.

With this agreement, Argentinians will gain access to improved connections to the network of destinations across the United States and Canada operated by Delta, as well as the joint accrual of miles in their frequent flyer programs, among many other benefits provided by the Joint Venture between both companies.

The Joint Venture agreement offers numerous reciprocal benefits for members of Delta SkyMiles and LATAM Pass. In addition to mileage accrual, Delta SkyMiles members will be able to redeem miles on flights operated by LATAM, and in the coming months, LATAM Pass members will be able to do so on flights operated by Delta, significantly expanding travel options between North and South America. Furthermore, elite members will enjoy mutual benefits such as access to Delta Sky Club and LATAM Lounge VIP lounges, recognition of their status on both airlines with their respective complimentary baggage allowances and no-cost seat selection, among others. This agreement enhances the travel experience by providing greater connectivity and convenience for frequent flyers of both companies.

Likewise, this expansion will improve connectivity for customers transporting cargo between the United States/Canada and Argentina, offering integrated solutions on both passenger and freighter aircraft, with more flight options, connections, and benefits within the contemplated geographic area.

Today, Delta and LATAM have obtained the final prior regulatory approval required to implement the incorporation of Argentina into the JV. Furthermore, the companies have already notified the operation for its post-implementation evaluation by the National Commission for the Defense of Competition in Argentina.
