Miami Airports 2026 Organizational Refresh | One Team. One MIA. One Future.

May 5, 2026

Miami-Dade County’s system of airports (Miami International, Miami-Opa locka Executive, Miami Executive, Miami Homestead General, and Dade-Collier Training and Transition) is entering a bold new era – one grounded in the strength of its people and designed to position our airports for sustained global growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

Over the past five years, under the leadership of Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Chief Operating Officer Jimmy Morales, and Director and CEO Ralph Cutié, our airport system has achieved remarkable progress, strengthening its position among the world’s leaders.

Through Director Cutie’s strategic vision and disciplined execution, we have significantly advanced in global rankings, launched transformative initiatives, and driven historic investments – including the landmark $14 billion Modernization in Action program, the most ambitious infrastructure effort in our history. At the same time, the rollout of the I AM MIA campaign has reinforced our culture by celebrating and uplifting the dedicated workforce that keeps our airports running safely, smoothly, and efficiently every day.

This refreshed table of organization reflects that momentum. It is more than a structural update. It is a strategic alignment of leadership, functions, and priorities that ensures we continue to operate as one high-performing, future-ready organization.

We are deeply grateful to our workforce and partners whose unwavering support and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in guiding and strengthening our airport system during this period of transformation.

MIA AIRPORTS: A Stronger, Aligned Leadership Structure

Under the leadership of Director Ralph Cutié, this evolution brings greater clarity, integration, and alignment across the organization – anchored by four key leadership pillars that support MIA’s core functions and future direction:

  1. Operations, Facilities & Infrastructure and Safety & Security | Led by Deputy Director, Operations & Facilities Ana Finol

This pillar unifies airport operations, terminal and airside functions, facilities management, engineering, capital development, and procurement. Together, these teams ensure safe, efficient, and reliable day-to-day performance while advancing modernization and the long-term sustainability of MIA’s infrastructure.

  1. Business Development & Administration | Led by Deputy Director, Business Development & Administration Basil Binns, II

This pillar drives MIA’s commercial growth and organizational foundation, encompassing business development, commercial activities, landside operations, finance, and administrative functions. These efforts enhance revenue generation, strengthen airline partnerships, and reinforce MIA’s position as a competitive global gateway.

  1. Strategic Partnerships, Communications, and Customer Affairs | Led by Chief of Staff & Senior Advisor, Strategic Marketing, Communications & Customer Engagement Andria Muñiz-Amador

This pillar integrates communications, marketing, customer engagement, fine arts, intergovernmental affairs, and international protocol. These functions shape how MIA connects with passengers, partners, and stakeholders – enhancing transparency, strengthening relationships, and elevating MIA’s presence locally, nationally, and globally.

  1. Innovation, Technology & Transformation | Led by Digital Strategy & Innovation Advisor Maurice Jenkins

This pillar advances enterprise-wide innovation through digital strategy, technology modernization, and data-driven decision-making – enabling a more agile, efficient, and future-ready airport system.

One Team. One MIA. One Future.

This refreshed structure reflects a unified organization – grounded in strong leadership, aligned functions, and a shared commitment to excellence. Every team plays a role. Every function is connected.

Together, we are building the future of Miami-Dade’s system of airports – stronger, smarter, and ready to lead on the global stage.
