Ostend-Bruges Airport Opens Renovated F&B Area and VIP Lounge
June 19, 2026
Ostend, June 19, 2026 – With the summer holidays approaching, Ostend-Bruges Airport and catering partner Erasmus Catering have opened their renovated F&B area and VIP lounge. Both zones underwent a thorough renovation this spring. With this investment, the airport continues to focus on comfort, quality, and a carefree travel experience for its passengers.
Following an initial renovation of the departure zone in 2017, which included the expansion of a shop and a F&B establishment, the F&B area received a complete makeover this spring. Thanks to a smart layout redesign and a fully updated interior, the space now radiates even more tranquility, comfort, and luxury.
“At Ostend-Bruges Airport, the holiday begins the moment you arrive at the airport,” says CEO Nathan De Valck. “We continue to invest in a smooth, pleasant, and personal travel experience. Travelers deliberately choose Ostend because of the convenience: nearby parking, short walking distances, a quick check-in, and no long queues at security. Anyone departing via Ostend enjoys a relaxed start to their holiday, without the typical holiday stress of a large airport. We want to keep strengthening that comfort.”
Erik Van Welzen, CEO of Erasmus Catering, adds: “With this renovation, we are not only focusing on a more modern and attractive F&B environment, but also on a noticeably wider and more varied assortment for our travelers. Furthermore, we continue to invest in the quality and experience of our offering. In this way, we want to actively contribute to the further expansion and future of the airport.”
VIP lounge
The VIP lounge also received a thorough upgrade and was significantly expanded. The renovated lounge offers more space, extra comfort, and a quiet, stylish environment where travelers can relax or work undisturbed before departure.
Travelers booking through TUI’s VIP Selection program automatically receive access to the lounge. Other passengers can easily book this service on-site.
Travelers deliberately choose Ostend
The upgrades respond directly to the wishes of the passengers. A recent satisfaction survey shows that the airport scores excellently on customer satisfaction: no less than 84% of travelers rate the experience as good to very good.
“Passengers very deliberately choose our airport for the good service, the short walking distances, and the fast processing times. We are fully committed to the comfort of our travelers, and that approach is clearly appreciated,” says De Valck. “With the renovated catering area and the larger VIP lounge, we are making the travel experience significantly more pleasant once again.”
Ostend-Bruges Airport is therefore fully prepared to welcome holidaymakers in the best possible conditions this summer. Thanks to a 5.3% increase in seat capacity at TUI fly, the airport expects a busy summer holiday, during which travelers can once again count on a smooth, comfortable, and carefree start to their vacation.
