Is the construction of the Port of Poland a good idea?
The World Meeting of Air Cargo Carriers has demonstrated massive, global support for the Port of Poland. Everyone sees the potential for growth in the region, in the coming five to ten years the tonnage of cargo handled in Poland may double.

TIACA’s executive summit in Warsaw was fun; but better still, it was different – not a word always associated with air cargo conferences, admittedly.

4RCargo has been appointed as Finnair Cargo ’s General Sales Agent (GSA) in the Baltics, marking its first airline partnership in the region since establishing its Baltic operations in February 2026.

Global demand for air cargo quickly recovered after the outbreak of the war in Iran, unlike passenger transport. The Gulf War affected 22 percent of global air cargo traffic (calculated by weight), of which 9.5 pp. created transit traffic, and 8.8 percent were imports to the Middle East.

For the first time in history, Poland hosted one of the most important global events in the air cargo industry. Over 350 representatives of the top management of the logistics and aviation sector from all over the world came to Warsaw to participate in the TIACA Executive Summit 2026.

Glyn Hughes, Director General of TIACA, is stepping down at a moment when the air cargo industry is under pressure to evolve.

TIACA will launch two new educational initiatives – the TIACA Reading Room and the TIACA Future Thinkers – in the second quarter of the year. The TIACA Reading Room will be a digital hub featuring books and literary contributions from industry thought leaders, academics and researchers.

The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has announced that Hactl and Cargo Service Center will sponsor awards for the next three years.
