TIACA and CHAMP Cargosystems are proud to organize the annual Air Cargo Sustainability Award to encourage, promote and reward initiatives that will contribute to make air cargo more sustainable!
The first edition of the Award has concluded in Budapest on 20 November 2019 and celebrated Wings for Aid Foundation with its delivery box, a self-landing cardboard delivery box to bridge the last mile to people in need as a result of humanitarian crises. The 2019 winner received USD15’000 to further develop their project. The 2 runner-ups, M&G Packaging Corp with BioNatur Plastics for the Air Cargo Industry and Nallian, with an Open Ecosystem of Collaborative Applications for Air Cargo, each receive USD3’500.
Thank you to all participants for submitting their proposals and to the jury. This first edition received very diverse projects from corporates, start-ups, industry association and even an innovative teenager; tackling CO2 emissions, waste management, packaging, humanitarian support, staff development and retention, etc.
Stay tuned for the 2020 edition that will be scheduled at the next Air Cargo Forum in Miami, on 10-12 November 2020.
