While each module explores a different pillar of the supply chain, together they provide a holistic view of how consumer products move from factory floors in China to customers around the world.
You will learn how to build a strong, scalable procurement strategy; how cross-border logistics connect Chinese sellers with global consumers; how China’s unique fulfilment and demand-driven supply chains work; and how hybrid fulfilment models combine the strengths of China-based operations with local warehousing to optimize cost, speed, and customer experience. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
Module 1: Procurement & Supplier Strategy
- Explain the strategic role of procurement in building a scalable long-term eCommerce business.
- Differentiate between supplier types and understand the evolution of e-commerce supply chains, from dropshipping to integrated models like SHEIN and Temu.
- Identify and avoid common procurement mistakes — skipping samples, weak quality control, or over-buying inventory.
- Apply the five stages of procurement: due diligence, sampling, negotiation, quality control, and shipping.
- Optimize product packaging for durability, efficiency, and customer experience.
Module 2: Cross-Border E-commerce Logistics
- Identify key Chinese B2C logistics companies and understand how small-parcel shipping works from China to the world.
- Differentiate between major B2C shipping models, including direct injection.
- Explain customs, taxation, and compliance processes for cross-border e-commerce.
- Describe international parcel tracking methods and how they connect across carriers and countries.
Module 3: China Fulfilment & Demand-Driven Supply Chains
- Explain the operational logic of China fulfilment and why it is uniquely efficient.
- Understand the differences between traditional supply chains, the demand-chain model, and how companies like SHEIN and Temu leverage demand-driven operations.
- Compare dropshipping, storage-based fulfilment, and China fulfilment models.
- Understand how lean inventory and proximity to manufacturing drive speed and flexibility.
Module 4: Hybrid Fulfilment & Global Warehousing
- Define the hybrid fulfilment model and the hybrid supply chain behind it.
- Differentiate between B2C (direct from China) and B2B2C (bulk to local warehouse) fulfilment models.
- Identify the advantages, challenges, and cost considerations of hybrid fulfilment.
- Determine how to optimize your fulfilment mix using data — comparing China-based fulfilment with US/EU local fulfilment.
- Name the major fulfilment hubs in global e-commerce markets.
